The Port of Rosslare is situated in southwest Ireland, in County Wexford. The facility is the closest spot from Ireland's southern part to Great Britain and the European mainland. The port is Ireland's premier ferry port and a hub of all the principal roll-on roll-off passenger and cargo ferry services sailing on the southern Irish Sea, and the port operates continental routes.
The modern port features many facilities includinga restaurant and waiting area, a waterfront bar, check-in and children's play area, shops, car hire and currency exchange service, baby-changing areas, immigration facilities and a Department of Agriculture office.

Rosslare provides sailings to several European ports. The voyage to Pembroke takes nearly 4 hours and Irish Ferries is the company operating the route. They offer two daily crossings. The route to Fishguard is covered by Stena Line all year round, who also operate two crossings per day. It takes the ferry 3 hours, 30 minutes to reach the Port of Fishguard from Rosslare.
Between April and September, Stena Line operates high- speed crossings up to four times daily between Rosslare and Fishguard. The Stena Lynx has a crossing time of just 2 hours.
Irish Ferries operate the Rosslare-Cherbourg-Roscoff route. There are sailings between March and September, every second day, and between October and March, there are three weekly crossings available. The Normandy is the vessel which operates on this route.
Celtic Link Ferries LTD operates a sailing between Rosslare and Cherbourg in France. There are three weekly crossings available year-round. The Diplomat is the operating ferry on this route. All of the ferry services offer passenger and vehicle crossings.
